Being a first time mum, I never knew breasts could leak this much! I have researched and trialled different fabrics for absorbency, leaks and laundering. I now think that I have come up with the ideal reusable breast pad. It consists of 4 layers of material:
Flanellette - soft against the nipple (very soothing for sensitive nipples)
Bamboo wadding - antibacterial, soft & absorbent
PUL - prevents leakage
Printed Cotton - making it look pretty
Care Instructions:
Cool machine wash in a delicates bag
Do Not Tumble Dry
Warm Iron (only on printed cotton side)
